The outside single leg takedown is one of the most widely used takedowns in wrestling. Using the inside tie to control your opponent allows you to set up a lateral throw. Finishing with a lateral throw works well when your opponent sprawls hard to defend. For this video, 6x National Champion and US Olympic Wrestler Heath Sims demonstrates how to shoot an outside single leg using inside control as a setup and then finishing with a lateral throw.
