Instructor Profile

João is an Instructor at Evolve Mixed Martial Arts in Singapore and has been competing since 2012. He is the winner of numerous regional and national competitions in Brazil. João has also won medals at major international competitions, including the South American No-Gi and the Brazilian No-Gi Championship in 2020. He was also the silver medallist at the Pan American No-Gi Championship in 2021. In competitions, João tends to look for takedown opportunities, then employing guillotines, heel hooks, arm drags and back attacks.

João holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
