50 Speed Kicks For Muay Thai

Muay Thai Thursday

As martial artists, we are all innately curious as to how we can improve our form and technique. A great way to do so is through drilling – after all, the legendary Bruce Lee did say, “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.”

In this video, multiple-time Muay Thai World Champion Penaek Sitnumnoi shows us how to drill our kicks on the heavy bag. Take note of Penek’s unwavering perfect form throughout the video. This heavy bag drill will improve your kicking speed, balance, power, and consistency.

Remember, the key to perfecting any technique is through constant practice. While executing any technique, take the time to ensure that your form is correct. You can do so by practicing in front of a mirror or by consulting your instructor. When you’re more comfortable, you can work on increasing your pace – don’t forget to breathe!
